The practice of laboratory Medicine and the field of Diagnostic industry require meeting regulations and establish specifications. Quality management is an important subject because the patients’ test results are delivered directly to the treating physician to support the diagnosis and the prognosis by offering the required treatment Plans.
This course is to provide the medical laboratory professionals with an advanced laboratory quality management. The course offers a general overview for quality laboratory practice with an emphasis on quality management system (QMS) and its implementation, GAP analysis, plan-do-check-act cycle (PDCA), process and document control, standardization and quality audit as fundamental concepts being utilized in a clinical laboratory.
This course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of advanced quality management principles and practical applications during accreditation and included the validation practice. It will cover various aspects of quality including organization quality manual, quality indicators for the work flow for the three phases, pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytica. It also includes a detailed coverage for the quality system essentials (QSEs) for example purchasing and inventor, document control and record, non conforming occurrence management, assessments tools (Quality Metrics) and continual improvement (CI).
